As I sit here this morning, a little pouty because I cannot skype with Mikaela (her cat chewed through her power cable), I cannot call Mikaela
(her cell phone died a horrible death, I believe at the hands of its owner ~ no charges are being pressed at this time) ~ I ended up chuckling to myself ~
ok, outloud! This whole miraculously technological world we live in is indeed the whole reason Mikaela and I are incommunicado at the present time…
So, I wrote her a letter ~ with a pen. and some beautiful stationery from Italy. and I’ll peel a “forever” stamp off my roll, adhere it to the addressed envelope,
and know in a week’s time (probably longer with our postal system), I’ll have put a smile on my daughter’s face when she sees a letter from Mahja and not
just a water bill ~ “What a lot we lost when we stopped writing letters. You can’t reread a phone call.” Liz Carpenter wrote that ~ amazing.
To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart. ~Phyllis Theroux ~ how true!
Here is hoping that you have a wonderful day ~ meet a frown with a smile ~ be kind.
~ love, v ps ~ happy birthday, heidi white! |

Thank you for my sweet birthday wishes and my fabulous book! Can’t wait to get started working through it 🙂
