This post is for the lovely ladies I had lunch with yesterday… Our families were all stationed together at RAF Lakenheath, UK recently ~ so what better place to meet than Lion and Rose Pub in San Antonio!

Guinness-Cheddar Dip
- 1 lb shredded cheddar
- 1/2 lb shredded gruyere
- 1/2 pint Guinness
- dash of crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 jalapeño, cut in half
- 1 T onion powder
- 1 T Worcestershire
Place cheese in crock-pot; heat on high until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Let heat on low setting until gooey! Serve in hollowed-out sourdough bread bowl, serve with toasted bread cubes (from bread bowl), fresh pita, or as we had yesterday: with British chips and onion petals! Enjoy ~ V
